XRnanotech is the culmination of more than 10 years of research and development at the world-renown Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland. The company was incorporated in 2020 with the goal to bring the newest groundbreaking innovations in nano-optics to market.

Customers all over the world trust us as a supplier of X-ray optics for scientific experimenting, material testing, medical imaging and more. We deliver individualized optics with a low lead time and full service.
We are capable of manufacturing Fresnel zone plates with down to <10nm resolution, and offer a wide range of materials like Gold, Nickel, Silicon (dioxide), Iridium, Chromium and even Diamond. Our patented technologies are product to years of research at the world-renown Paul Scherrer Institute.

Meet the Team


Dr. Andreas Insam was the CEO of BENDURA BANK AG from its founding in 1998 until September 2020. During this time, Insam Familienstiftung was a significant shareholder of this Liechtenstein-based bank. In addition to his activities in the private equity industry, Dr. Andreas Insam personally oversees the development and management of his commercial property portfolio in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Austria.As a board member, Dr. Andreas Insam focuses on XRnanotech AG’s strategy as well as potential partnerships and acquisitions. He holds the qualification Dr. rer. soc. oec. in Business Administration from the University of Innsbruck.
